Inspiration
One of my greatest inspirations is my Sensei. For the people who doesn't know me, I have been doing karate for almost nine years. It has been something that I'm greatly passionate about and something that I love doing. In karate, you get to work hard and for some people, there is nothing better than sweating after a good work out. Now Sensei has been my teacher for the past nine years and has been one of my greatest supporters since the very beginning. To me, he is practically family. He is the number one person that I respect and would do anything to make proud. He was the one who taught me respect, hard work, and dedication. These three things are what make me who I am today. My Sensei is almost 56 years old yet he is still one of the fittest people I know. If that isn't inspiring then I don't know what is. It shows you that there isn't any reason to slack off. There isn't a reason to be lazy and you should always be try to do your best in anything you do.
Reflection
I think that a big inspiration to me and probably most people is food. Food is a huge part of anyones life and eating delicious food is one of the greatest pleasures. My first photo is of the letter H where the H is made out of waffles. Now you ask, "Why waffles?" The use of waffles is a very weird choice of mine. Waffles is something that I have been eating for the past week prior to the project and when I started brainstorming, waffles was something that kept on coming into my head. I made about three of the thumbnail pictures on waffles and maybe another 3 on food. First things first, I am not the best artist so I found the concept of drawing the waffles extremely difficult and went with a photo. Spelling out a word rather than a single letter seemed like a better idea for me because I think the message that I wanted to get out there couldn't be seen by a single letter. I love food and breakfast is my favorite meal. I love how appetizing breakfast can be when you wake up in the morning. I wanted to convey my love for food and breakfast was something that I have been having for breakfast the past week. If I could, I would have had my paper smell like syrup to help with the overall experience. I think I was able to do what I planned to do and I want to thank Ms. Lee for helping me out a lot with the process. Overall, I had a lot of fun with my project and it was a new experience trying to take picture because before I'm usually horrible with a camera. I think that my photo really conveys my concept on breakfast. And the last thing I have to say is "Hungry?"
